Obituary for Phyllis D. James
Phyllis D. James, age 70, of Smithton, IL, died Monday, November 17, 2014 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville. She was born March 24, 1944 in Griffith, IN, the daughter of the late David R. and Wanda (Thompson) James. She is survived by three children: Susan (Scott) O'Neill of Millstadt, John (Maura) Molnar, Jr. of Woodbridge, VA and Donna (Chris) Correale of O'Fallon, IL; eight grandchildren: Meagan (Matt) Ludgate, Jeremy (Sharon Koval) Correale, Andrew Correale, Anna Correale, Ty Velasquez, Alex Molnar, John "J.D." Molnar and Brandon White; and one sister, Bonnie (Nick) Sullivan of Katy, TX. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. James was a homemaker. She never met a stranger and in her younger years enjoyed painting and art. As a young woman she attended Chicago Fine Art Institute.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to Chakota Therapeutic Riding Center, 6248 Wesclin Rd, Germantown, IL 62245. The family would like to thank the staff at Park Have Care Center for the care they have given to Phyllis over the many years she was there.
