Obituary for Richard C. Bonk

Richard C. Bonk, age 64, of Sparta, IL, died at 2:48 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta. He was born June 9, 1949 in Perth Amboy, NJ, the son of the late John and Sophie (Bobenchek) Bonk. He married Melva Kloth. She survives. Also surviving is a son, Christopher Bon of Burbank CA. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Batjer.

Mr. Bonk received a Bachelor's Degree form McKendree College (now McKendree University) in Lebanon, IL. He was a school teacher at the former St. Paul Catholic High School in Highland, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Kalmer Memorial Services on Rt. 50 between Lebanon and O'Fallon, IL.
