Ruby Mattingly, age 66, of Carlyle, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at her residence. She was born April 13, 1947 in Percy, Illinois, the daughter of the late Martin and Hulda (Weaver) Brockmeyer. She married James Mattingly April 29, 1967 in Pinkneyville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 21, 2008. She is survived by three children: Tina (James) Norbeck of Carlyle, Kim (Derrick) Richards of Orin, Missouri, and Kevin (Marissa) Mattingly of Okawville; five grandchildren: Brittney (Shane) Hobbs of Greenville, Cody Norbeck of Cahokia, Chase Mattingly of Okawville, Eric Mattingly of Okawville and Kaylee Mattingly, also of Okawville; one great-grandchild, Justin Norbeck of Benld; and her brothers and sisters: Darlene (Herman) Meyer of Steelville, Wilma Westerman of Chester, Marlin (Daloris) Brockmeyer of Steelville, Lavern (Willie) Bockhorn of Sparta, Anita (George) Miller of Campbell Hill, IL; and Rayburn (Carolyn) Brockmeyer of Percy. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Verdale Wolters and Bernadine Loucks; and three brothers-in-law.

Mrs. Mattingly was a school bus driver for the Wesclin School District.

Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Kalmer Memorial Services in Lebanon. There will be no memorial service. According to her wishes, her remains were cremated.
