Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Currier can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Uninterrupted by the passage of time...

John Currier was my friend.  A simple statement...but one which, in it's simplicity, says everything one needs to know about the man.

John and I shared some common heritage.  We're both Massachusetts-born and raised.  Transplanted to the midwest, where we embraced the local culture and the quality of life.

John was an early mentor of mine.  He was somebody I could approach / speak with both in the business world and as a parent / partner; knowledgeable and wise.  A man of intelligence and integrity.  Blessed by a sense of humor that was both innocent and self-deprecating...he taught much by the way he shared his own thoughts and observations, in a way that invariably brought clarity to the situation at hand.

John was the very first person I called nearly three decades ago, when Mary and I welcomed our first baby.  He joked with my often about this...proud to have been the recipient of that call...but also noting that the news "could have" waited until sunrise, at least.

My conversations with John really had no "beginning" or "end"...we'd simply pick up the discussion where we left off, no matter how much time had passed between.  This is a measure of a true friendship.

I shall miss him, and our conversations, very much.  But I'll still hear his voice from time to time, echoing in the back of my head...especially immediately after I've chosen "A" when perhaps "B" would have been the wiser option.

Godspeed, Big Kahuna!
