Obituary for George W. Page

George W.  Page
George W. Page, age 81, of O'Fallon, died at 6:25 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home in Edwardsville. He was born November 8, 1931 in Wilmington, NC, son of the late Stephen F. and Eva (Sims) Page. He married Janet O'Conner June 2, 1954 in Collinsville, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are three children: Karen (Gordon) Duckworth of Highland, IL, Keith (Kelly) Page of Edwardsville, and Kathy L. (Robert) LaPlante of Fenton, MO; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Page Morphis of Winston-Salem, NC.

He was preceded in death by five brothers: Stephen F. Page, Jr., Walter Page, Montrose Paltell, Cooper Page, and Alvin Page; and one sister, Annie Mae Aldermann.

Mr. Page retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service; He then worked for Granite City Steel and was a member of Chemical Workers Union Local 50, the American Legion and Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. #47 in Nova Scotia.

According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated and there will be a private memorial service. His ashes will then be interred at Valhalla Cemetery in Belleville.
